Ways to Get Involved

Volunteer Opportunities

Our Ministries

Mission of the Month: Samaritan Ministries

Samaritan Ministries was founded in 1981 as a soup kitchen to serve people in Winston-Salem. Later the men’s shelter was opened. Now there are three major programs: the Soup Kitchen which serves around 350 every day, the Shelter which has 70 beds, and Project Cornerstone which is a ten bed residential substance abuse recovery program. If you are looking for a place to volunteer, Samaritan needs help on the lunch teams as well as dinner teams for the shelter guests and overnight volunteers for check in and monitoring.
